Week 52 Chincha Alta

Happy Monday!!

We had a super great week this week!! We had a super good multi zone conference by Elder Falabela. He talked about the Book of Mormon and why it is so important in the conversion of investigators. We learned a ton and we will start applying it in the work. The Book of Mormon truly is essential. I got to play piano, for the multi zone conference, kind of cool playing there. I also directed the special musical number we did, "I know that my Redeemer Lives!" It was a process and a half but we got it going and the missionaries sounded great!!
\
We had a hopeful couple of days. We lost a ton of investigators and we were walking a ton without appointments, Rosa and Gomer, a couple of progressing investigators, didn't come to church thanks to travel. All those things are happening, but it just means Satan is about to lose big hahaha ;) We have been contacting a ton of people and we are starting to see a bunch of hope, we will achieve our goals! We are super excited for what the Lord has in store for us.

We had a super great P'day last week, we went to go climb that one mountain again, I've probably done it about four times now haha. But that's what the zone wanted to do so that's what we did. It was super fun, but it's always kind of wierd to walk with a group of 12 gringos with only 2 latinos haha. Our zone is so crazy.

We are getting super prepared for #LightChincha hahaha. We are going to do a lot of stuff there, we love some of the ideas and revelation we have recieved about it. Is our home stake getting prepared with their service day and special sacrament meeting? I hope so! We are programming a mini MTC for the youth on the 29th of December.

I LOVE YOU GUYS!!! I hope you have a super great week over there in St. George. I pray for you guys all the time, Sigan adelante con firmeza en Cristo! Be obedient, be virtuous, and be charitable.

Week 51 Chincha Alta

Happy Monday

Hello from Chincha!!   We walked a ton this week but at the same time saw a ton of miracles and mercies.   We talked with our Bishop and we got a ton of ideas drawn up.   I took note of all of them, and started to think about all the time we've come up with ideas and not put them into play.  So I studied a bit on virtue, and found that virtue is not only defined by chastity, but rather it also has a lot to do with responsibility.  I asked myself, do I do what I say I'm going to do?  We are going to apply all the ideas we came up with.

One of those were #LightChincha, we are definitely gonna be a ward for Light the World.  I got a sister working on a little poster for Light Chincha and we are going to do great things with it this December.  We are going to have a ton of FHEs with all the members possible and get them excited about missionary work through easy means.  We are also gonna get a mini MTC thing going, I helped with something like that in Pisco and I ended up famous haha, I was in a picture in the area part of the Liahona.

We have been pressing forward the work lately, I felt the need to put a personal SMART goal so I could learn to get a little more focused in my goals. I set a super SMART goal with plans to achieve it, I wanna share it with yall.
THE GOAL
15 Baptisms in my time in Chincha
THE PLAN
1. Being Virtuous
2. Being Charitable
3. Being Obedient

I'll let you know how it goes, thanks for reading my short note, I love you guys a ton, thanks dad for your feedback and council, I really take it to heart. Say hi to everyone in the ward and tell President Bowden and President Olson I LOVE THEM.

Con amor, chao

Week 50 Chincha Alta

Happy Happy Monday!

We had a super good week here in Chincha!!   We are super grateful for the things we have been able to do here.   We put a focus as a zone to find 'golden' news and not 'stone' news. An idea that was just revealed to me in the leaders meeting on the spot and it really worked! We found a higher number of new investigators and and every single one of them has potential to progress.  I thought we were going to find less looking for the chosen people, but we ended up finding a bunch of them.

We will for sure pick up light the world!!  We have already shared the light the world missionary work video and we are coming up with ideas of how we can #LightChincha hahaha.   We are excited to work with it though.

We have also picked up a new effort in getting our investigators in the chapel.  It was kind of sad to see the low numbers for the chapel but we will make sure we are direct and smart with our plans.

Thank you for your love and support, LOVE YOU!!

Con mucho amor en serio,
Elder Olsen

Week 49 Chincha Alta

Happy Monday!

We have had a super great week.   We are just starting to find like crazy.  We are getting a lot of member referrals.  With a ward so focused on missionary work, they just come without too much work.  I am so blessed to stay more than two transfers in Chincha.  It is seriously a missionary's heaven.  I love every minute of being here.  It's like I have to work extra hard just to be on these members' level!   I am learning so much here and am so happy here.

Elder Correa and I went to climb a little mountain today!   It was super sick, we got to see a whole lot of orchards and some beautiful mountain scenery.  It was a super great time.
The zone is doing super good as usual, we literally have the best district leaders.  I love Elder Simkins and Elder Schank so much. They are going to be super hard workers this transfer, exactly what we need in leaders.  I love missionary work, it is the best.
I LOVE YOU!!!  Thanks for your letters and your support, I pray for you guys all the time. Take a lot of care.  Until next week!
