We had a great week here in Miguel Grau. We are seeing a lot of great miracles. We are doing a lot of work here with our unmarried couples. We have commited 2 out of 3 of our unmarried couples to get a marriage date. We have it down haha. We teach the Plan of Salvation, then the Law of Chastity, then the most important, repentance. Our president told us that we need to remember to teach repentance. He taught us that the Law of Chastity isn't part of the doctrine of Jesus, repentance is. We are seeing the fruits of his revelation. Once they know they are living in sin, we then teach them that they can be clean, usually they are willing to make the change.
We did not see Brenda be baptized this week due to a family accident. His uncle got in a car accident and was in a coma. They unplugged the machines on Sunday, so she had to go to CaƱete on Friday. A little funny because she saw Elder Montes de Oca over there haha. It's a small world! She will be baptized this Saturday though.
We got to hear from an Apostle last Saturday!! Gary E. Stevenson came over to Peru to give a training for only the CCM Peru Central and Peru South missions. He had everyone come up and shake his hand, that's right, I shaked an Apostle´s hand! Haha, there was a lot I learned from him, he had a funny little part of his talk where he asked a bunch of missionaries what their favorite chapter was in PMG. He'd say "oh chapter 3? The lessons are my favorite chapter" and then "Chapter 1 is absolutely my favorite chapter." and then "tell you what, chapter 4 just happens to be my favorite chapter as well." Haha, it was an amazing little workshop thing. He talked about following the Spirit and finding your Cornilius. He made reference to Acts 10 there. Amazing story.
Haha dads right, I'm spoiled, only found 10 people this week, can do better! Haha, but we are having a focus to look for the prepared people and not just the people who can't say no haha. Thanks for your letters, I love you all so much!!
Con mucho amor,
Elder Olsen
